CalHydro
Water Discovery Pavilion
A destination inspired by water.
As one example of the broader Lake Natoma Park vision, the CalHydro Water Discovery Pavilion reimagines the City of Folsom's corporation yard site as a destination for learning, exploration, and connection to California's water and landscape.
Inspired by the shape of California, the pavilion brings together immersive experiences, natural systems, and public space into a unified destination.

Inside CalHydro
CalHydro is envisioned as the Water Discovery Pavilion—an immersive, place-based experience where visitors explore California’s water systems, landscapes, and connections.
At the heart of the pavilion is a large-scale watershed diorama, inspired by the Bay Model in Sausalito, representing California’s interconnected water systems in a dynamic, glass-walled environment.
Anchoring the experience is the Watersphere, a 360° immersive theater that brings California’s water and landscape systems to life through motion, sound, and storytelling.
